Our Mission
We know that Our Children are Tomorrow's Leaders… therefore, at Create-A-Smile, we are dedicated to promoting literacy and positive values among the children in our communities. Our personalized books teach valuable life lessons and encourage kids to not just want to read but to LOVE TO READ. In the process, they are encouraged to become positive and productive members of society. Studies have shown that good reading practices develop at an early age, so it is imperative to introduce books as soon as possible to young readers. One great way to start getting children "hooked on books" is to give them a book with their name in it. Youngsters experience a thrill when they see and recognize their names in print. They become proud of the book and the story in which they star. They experience a sense of accomplishment at being able to eventually read their very own book. As the book captures and holds their attention, they spend more time reading it. The more they practice, the more skilled in comprehension and vocabulary use they become. The more skilled they become, The More They Will WANT To Stay In School And Progress. The more children stay in school and out of trouble, the less crime, the better their future and the future of our country and economy as a whole.

At Create-A-Smile, our book programs are designed to make these books available to as many babies and youngsters as possible. Because every child is valuable and should be treated as such, we provide these books FREE of charge to the children through Corporate, Business and/or Civic sponsorships.
Why do we do Give-A-Book programs? Because we simply love to see children grow, progress and flourish. We love to hear good news so we find it only natural to delight in creating it. Because I am a mother who strives to see my children succeed in every aspect of their life. If this is my wish, then I would hope that it would be the same for every parent out there regardless of race or socio-economic status. I am a mother who cares about the future America that my children are going to be living in. Because I am a mother who finds complaining futile, I would rather contribute to the betterment of my society - therefore, I think it is one of the best gifts that I could give to my children. Because I believe in a love of self, a love of family, a love of country, a love for books, a love for learning, a love for progress and investing in our children for a better tomorrow. I am truly delight in encouraging children, to visualize the brighter future that can be if only they would embrace education, self-discipline, self-control and positive values despite all the negativity that may exists around them.
Our job is to make sure that, for many years to come, YOU - THE SPONSORS are seen as THE HEROS that you are IN THE EYES OF THE CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.
Give-A-Book Program
At Create-A-Smile, we make arrangements for fantastic personalized books by Create-A-Book® to be given FREE of charge to every child in designated schools, hospitals, religious organizations or groups. To make this possible, we invite Corporate, Business and Civic sponsors to join in this endeavor to help children in the community receive Their Very Own Personalized Book– for many, it is the first book they have really truly owned, it is the first time that someone has shown them that they really care...
These hardbound books, filled with quality text and professional illustration throughout, are approximately 36 pages and 7 x 8 ½ inches. Children simply cherish them….

From the moment a child opens one of my books, the magical adventure begins… and the sponsors will be remembered for a long time to come for making this possible… (The front or back page of each hardbound book distributed will have a listing of a number of caring sponsors from different positive and productive segments of society).

These are hardbound books filled with quality text and professional illustration throughout. The front page will carry a message from the company. They are perfect as gifts to employees’ children during the holiday season and various occasions throughout the year. They can also be used as giveaway gifts, or premium incentive, in conjunction with the sale of the company’s own products. If the corporation wants to give away something unique, an exclusive Create-A-Book® especially for that company alone and their program can be designed.
